Yosemite National Park and Oakhurst,CA (10/20/17-10/21/17)

We’ve been working so hard remodeling our rental house, it was nice to have a getaway to relax and enjoy ourselves! We stayed at High Sierra RV park in site 26. Our site was right along the Fresno river and the boys enjoyed playing at our campground even though I didn’t think it was the most exciting place we’ve ever stayed in.

We got up early and headed into the park. Houston vomited several times on the way in because the road is so windy. The valley floor was very smoky. It was still beautiful, but kinda disappointing that you couldn’t see things as well as you could’ve.

We walked up to Bridalveil Falls, saw El Capitan, and Half Dome. We went to the visitors center and bought postcards to mail to the Stevenson girls and then mailed them in the post office. The smoke was really affecting the air quality so we ended up leaving earlier than expected and decided to head home just to have more time to finish some projects at the house. Next month we go to Sequoia National Park! Until then!
